In an action sure to be opposed by many conservatives, nonprofit Missouri Family Health Council (MFHC) is making emergency contraception pill kits, also known as morning-after pills, free for anyone with a Missouri address. The organization says the service became available on June 1st. The contraception kits can be picked up in person at a total of 30 locations in Missouri or can be ordered online with free shipping in plain white packages without labels Emergency contraception (EC) can be taken up to 120 hours or 5 days after unprotected sex to lower the chance of becoming pregnant.
